What we keep, and why.

This is a free, non-commercial site run by an individual Outreach trainer. There are no ads, nothing is for sale, and we don't sell or share anyone's information.

Browsing the library

You don't need an account to use the library, planner or name picker. To tell people from bots, the server counts page visits with a visitor code made by scrambling your network address and browser together with a secret value. We don't keep the network address itself. The browser's user-agent text (its name, version and system) and your country (from our network provider) are kept with each visit. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Visit records are deleted after 400 days.

Some tools remember things in your own browser, such as a plan you are working on or the names in the name picker. That stays on your device and isn't sent to us unless you save it to an account. Signing out clears the plans, class drafts and names a trainer left in that browser.

Trainer accounts

An account keeps your course plans, classes, trainer profile and uploaded files so you can use them on any device. We keep:

Cookies: one keeps you signed in, and one tells the site's pages that you are signed in. Both are removed when you sign out.

Email we send

Only email about your account, from [email protected]. Replies go to [email protected]. We never send marketing or newsletters, and we don't share your address. The emails are:

When an account is created, the site owner also gets a short notice with the new trainer's name and email, whether they signed up with a password or Google, the time, a rough location (country, and region and city when our network provider supplies them), the device and browser type, and the date and first page of their earliest visit. The network address itself isn't included. It helps the owner tell trainers he knows from people who found the site on their own. Email is sent through Zoho Mail, which hosts the site's mailboxes.

Signing in with Google

If you choose "Continue with Google", Google tells us your Google account's identifier, your name and your email address, and whether Google has verified that address. We use them only to sign you in and to create your account the first time. We don't ask for and can't see anything else in your Google account: no contacts, files, calendar or email. A short-lived cookie protects the sign-in while you are away at Google, and is removed when you come back.

Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can remove this site's access at any time from your Google account's security settings.

Deleting your information

You can delete your account under Account, Security. That removes your account and everything saved with it: profile, classes and their students, plans, uploads and class records. It can't be undone. Visit records aren't tied to an account and are removed after 400 days.

Deleting an account doesn't reach emails already sent, such as the owner's sign-up notice; email [email protected] to have those deleted too. For anything else, write to the same address or send us a request.
